The Bigger Picture

January 28, 2020

Happy Tuesday Wholetonians,

I'm praying that January has been a month of hope and that things are blessed for you in 2020! If you are reading this email, chances are that you are no stranger to Wholetones music. Your opinion means a lot to me, so I have put together a short “Customer Satisfaction” survey and I would really appreciate your participation. It will only take you about 6 or 7 minutes. I know your time is valuable, so I'm going to give you a $20 Wholetones gift certificate, if you'll help me out. The survey closes February 4th, so don't delay!

Your input will be invaluable to me as I plan for this year’s new releases. And, of course, I am so thankful for your encouraging posts and comments on social media, and of course your love, prayers, and continuous support!

Now, onto this weeks musing, “The Bigger Picture.”

Over the years, I have observed one absolute fact… you receive, what you believe! The first clue is; thinking and believing are not the same thing. And the difference between thinking and believing is, knowing! Believing without seeing is what we call faith…

Hebrews 11: 1-3, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”

Did you catch that??? What is seen was NOT made out of what was visible!!!! When I saw this, my entire life changed; I always see things through the eyes of my heart (physically invisible)…before I see it with the eyes in my head (physically visible).

I often see people posting phrases like “dream big,” or “see the big picture.” So friend, the term, big is actually relative depending on what “big” means to you! In other words, your big, may be small to me! King David wrote in the 34th Psalm: “O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” The Hebrew word for “magnify,” is Gadal, which means: to expand, to become great or important. The implication here is obvious. Certainly we can’t make God bigger. However…He can become bigger, or more important to us! And that is… The Bigger Picture…outside of our big dreams, or big aspirations, there is a bigger picture, a higher pursuit…to magnify the Lord, or in other words, give Him greater importance in our lives.

And since God is invisible…and everything visible came from that which is invisible, when God becomes the center of your life, you can’t help but live by faith. And without faith, it is impossible to please God! Get the picture? When you take the focus off of yourself and focus on God, the impossible becomes possible. and that which is invisible, becomes visible. Your life is about to change, until next time…

Be Whole,
Michael S. Tyrrell
